  1. A set of detailed instructions telling the computer what and how to do something.
  2. Complexity is just that very complex. Starting with the simplest of instruction and working your way up hoping for the least amount of mistakes to fix.
  3. To make it easier for the programmer to communicate what functions they want the computer to execute.
4.Java was the start of the language and Javascript is what it has evolved into.
5.They are one and the same EMCA the International standard for JS and JS itself in the US. ?

#385

1.A program is text typed by the programmer to make a computer do what it does while having all of the actions written out in instructions with all parts of the instructions stored in the memory to work together as a single program.
2:There is plenty of complexity in programming but the goal, as the writer, is to simplify the code and the program to allow for ease of writing, correction, review, and execution.
3:Programming languages we created to make programming a computer easier for the programmer.

#387
  1. A program instructs a computer, in explicit detail, how to do some process to accomplish useful work.

  2. The more a program has to accomplish, in terms of individual tasks, to complete its work then the more complex the software will be. Programming’s main objective is to simplify complexity as much as possible.

  3. Languages provide tools to instruct computers to perform tasks in ever increasing levels of abstraction in order to simplify human readability of inherently complex machine level commands/instructions.

  4. Javascript was intially marketed alongside Java during its emergence, but other than syntactic family shares nothing with the language.

  5. ECMAScript refers to the standardized specification of the Javascript language, which browsers and other Javascript environment providers implement in their products.

#388
  1. A set or a list of instruction.
  2. Larger and bigger project may contain more complex code, however, one should keep in mind to use easy-readable (commented) & simple solutions.
  3. Allowing our computers to execute set of instructions / actions (translating).
  4. No relationship, an unfortunate coincidence.
  5. It is basically a standard of JS; both terms may be used interchangeably.

#389
  1. It is a set of instructions for the computer that says the computer what it should do
  2. Complexity is sometimes necessary, but with increasing complexity it is much harder to keep the program without any issues and bugs
  3. It is “Translating” our commands in somehow human-understandable language into the computer language, made only from ones and zeros and consisting of only the easiest operations possible
  4. Apart from the similar name, they have no connection at all - JavaScript used the name Java to get a free advertisement and branding
  5. It is a standardised language that is actually the same as JavaScript

#390
  1. A program is a set of instructions in programming language that is executed by the processor and returns results.
  2. Complexity in programming is unavoidable but should be reduced to the minimum. Best programming practices are always aimed to simplify the code in order to be understand as quickly as possible by other programmers.
  3. Programming languages are made to simplify the way programmers send instructions to their machines and extend their capabilities.
  4. The relationship between Java and JavaScript is the world “Java”, nothing else.
  5. ECMAScript is the same as JavaScript with the idea of setting up rules to obey for all platforms willing to use Javascript.

#391
  1. What is a program?

It is a set of precise instructions telling a computer what to do. It is the directing force that makes the computer do what it does.

  1. What can you say about complexity in programming?

Without care, a program’s size and complexity can grow out of control, confusing even the person who created it. The art of programming is the skill of controlling complexity.

  1. What function do programming languages have?

They provide building blocks and allow us to define our own building blocks to create a program that when compiled will translate our building blocks into bits (0 and 1) to instruct the computer to function in the desired ways.

  1. What is the relationship between Java and Javascript?

JavaScript has almost nothing to do with the programming language named Java. The similar name was inspired by marketing. When JavaScript was being introduced, the Java language was being heavily marketed and was gaining popularity. Someone thought it was a good idea to try to ride this wave.

  1. What is ECMAScript and how is it related to Javascript?

The terms ECMAScript and JavaScript can be used interchangeably. They are two names for the same programming language.

The questions above were answered after reading Eloquent JavaScript by Marijn Haverbeke (2018)

#392

1, Instructions for the computer
2. Complexity can create issues if the program becomes difficult to manage. Keeping the program straightforward will make it more manageable
3. Languages translate instructions to machine code
4. Java and Javascript have no relationship
5. ECMAScript is the chosen set of instructions used in Javascript

#393
  1. Programming is a set of instructions written to tell the computer what to do
  2. If no of instructions goes increasing in program then complexity is increases. To avoid the complexity well structured programming is necessary
  3. Computer understand the binary language, but writing the programs in binary form is tough task. Programming languages provide easy way to user for writing the programs.
  4. No any relation except the name
  5. ECMAScript is a standard which released after JavaScript adopted by ECMA. JavaScript and ECMAScript are the two names of the same language

#394

What is a program?:

A program is a combination of instructions that tell the computer what to do.

What can you say about complexity in programming?:

Because there are multiple ways in which you can write a program that do the same thing. There will obviously be simple and complex ways of writing that program.
In programming, you would like to find the most simple way to write your program otherwise you run the risk of confusing yourself, or if there is a bug, it might be incredibly difficult to find.
Often when you’re creating a program you might stumble on to problems that only you have experienced, so you will need to not only find the solution yourself, but also try and find the best solution.
Facing this unique problem, you will have nobody to turn to and it’s up to you to but various concepts tether to get things to work.

What function do programming languages have?:

The role of the programming language is to try and make the process of creating a program is quick and as easy as possible.
It also helps to have a code that is easily readable.

What is the relationship between Java and Javascript?

There is none. Some dude thought it was a great idea to ride the marketing wave that java was busy creating.

What is ECMAScript and how is it related to Javascript?

ECMAScript is a document used to create a standard for how javascript would work. This was done so that all the software that made use of javascript knew that they were talking about the same language.

#395

What is a program?
A program can be described as text typed by a programmer to perform tasks on a dumb computer, most of the tasks are repetitive, but are performed at great speed to produce a result.

What can you say about complexity in programming?
Although many programs may seem complex, this is not the way to control a computer.
Always make sure when you program to not make your program complex an out of control.
Programming in the correct way will prevent this.

What function do programming languages have?
Programs create a way for a prograamer to create a program that can be understood and read humans.
It uses syntax that is the same in any program written in that language.

What is the relationship between Java and Javascript?
There is no relationship between Javascript and Java, it was a ploy by the creators of Javascript to jump
on the bandwagon by using a similar name when Java was spending a lot of money advertising Java.

What is ECMAScript and how is it related to Javascript?
The name ECMAScript was born when a set of standards was creted that allowed Javascript o be used outside of the Netscape arena. This allowed Javascript to work almost anywhere.
Both Javascript and ECMAScript are the same language.

#396
  1. A set of instructions telling a computer what to do.
  2. A good program is about controlling complexity.
  3. Allowing the programmer to talk about the actions that the computer has to perform on a higher level.
  4. There is no relationship, except the name.
  5. They are the same language.

#397
    What is a program?

It’s a set of instructions that tell the computer what to do

What can you say about complexity in programming?

Complexity is to be avoided or you can loose yourself within your own program writting

What function do programming languages have?

Mainly to create the link between the writer (the programmer) and the computer, but also to form a communicative platform that allows all programmers to understand each other through this language.

What is the relationship between Java and Javascript?

No relationship, the names were coincidental and maintained on the bases of marketing tactics.

What is ECMAScript and how is it related to Javascript?

This is basically the same language but ECMAScript created a bases for the language so that different software packages writen in JS could correctly communicate with each other.

#398
  1. A set of precise instructions telling a computer what to do.
  2. Programming can get complex depending on rules; however coding should be simple and readable.
  3. To translate to readable human language.
  4. None.
  5. They are interchangeable, two names for the same language.

#399

What is a program?
a set of precise instructions telling a computer what to do

What can you say about complexity in programming?
The goal of a programmer is to keep the program simple in its complexity. Programs and code tend to get out of hand and get overcomplex.

What function do programming languages have?
The function of programming languages is to translate binary code into readable actions.

What is the relationship between Java and Javascript?
There is none

What is ECMAScript and how is it related to Javascript?
Its a standard for Javascript

#400
  1. A program is a set of instructions.
  2. Programming is about scoping and managing complexity.
  3. To perform simple but repetitive tasks faster and to perform complex tasks more reliably: and to talk about the actions a computer has to take.
  4. Almost exclusively the name of Java and Javascript is what relates the two programs (purposefully used for marketing reasons in this way).
  5. A standard for Javascript, to ensure the interoperability with the various pieces of software.

#401

What is a program?

  • A set of constructions telling a computer what to do.

What can you say about complexity in programming?

  • A program’s complexity can grow out of control, confusing even the person who created it. Keeping programs under control is the main problem of programming.

What function do programming languages have?

  • Programming languages make programming simple by allowing programmers to talk about the actions that the computer has to perform on a higher level.

What is the relationship between Java and Javascript?

  • There is no relationship, except for heavy marketing on Java, with Javascript’s increasing success.

What is ECMAScript and how is it related to Javascript?

  • ECMAScript is a standard that JS follows.

#402
  1. a set of precise instructions that tell a computer what to
    do.
  2. complexity is related to the amount of information and data relationships and interaction. The more data, the more relationships and interactions and therefore more complexity.
  3. programming languages have the function of facilitating the interaction of the programmer with the computer, so instead of ones and zeros the programmer can use commands like phrases on a text to inform the computer what it needs to do.
  4. JavaScript has almost nothing to do with the
programming language named Java. The similar name was inspired by marketing
considerations rather than good judgment. When JavaScript was being
introduced, the Java language was being heavily marketed and was gaining
popularity. Someone thought it was a good idea to try to ride along on this
    success.
  5. After its adoption outside of Netscape, a standard document was written
to describe the way the JavaScript language should work, so that the various
pieces of software that claimed to support JavaScript were actually talking
about the same language. This is called the ECMAScript standard, after the
Ecma International organization that did the standardization. In practice, the
terms ECMAScript and JavaScript can be used interchangeably—they are two
    names for the same language.

#403
  1. What is a program?
A program is a series of commands that tell the computer what actions it must perform.

  2. What can you say about complexity in programming?
The larger the program becomes, the more layers of complexity and intra-dependency the code gets. Even the creator can lose oversight of the code when it is not structured or boiled down to the strictly necessary.

  3. What function do programming languages have?
A programming language helps the programmer to talk about actions that the computer has to perform on a higher level.

  4. What is the relationship between Java and Javascript?
Almost nothing, Javascript was trying to ride the wave of popularity surrounding Java.

  5. What is ECMAScript and how is it related to Javascript?
ECMAScript is the standardized version of Javascript and thus now the same language.
